frequencies we can’t see with our eyes. Each object in the cosmos gives
off unique patterns of radio emissions that allow astronomers to get the
whole picture of a distant object. Radio astronomers study emissions
from gas giant planets, blasts from the hearts of galaxies, or even
precisely ticking signals from a dying star.

What is the return policy?
Refunds are only available if the packaging is unopened, the item has not been worn, the tag is still intact, and the original receipt is present.
Exchanges/ Replacements are offered if the item is defective, or the packaging is unopened, the item has not been worn, and the tag is still intact.
Broken items that are damaged after leaving the gift shop are not eligible for refund, exchange or replacement.
Online orders are not eligible for credits or refunds when the order is received correctly and matches the items purchased. Credits or refunds may only be issued for orders that are incorrect, damaged, or otherwise qualify under our return policy.
Broken items that are received as part of an online order must reach out via email to giftshop@nrao.edu within 3 days of delivery with a photo of the item and packaging and original receipt to be eligible for refund or exchange.
Can I visit the VLA?
Yes, you are able to visit the VLA in person. Admission is available on public.nrao.edu. The VLA is open 7 days a week 9AM-4PM.
Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
When will I get my order?
All orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).
You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been placed and another notification when your order has shipped.
During peak seasons (holidays, events, or promotions), processing times may be slightly extended.
